April 27, 2007 - Tumentsetseg Baptized

Not much time to write this week folks, so here’s the rundown:

Tumentsetseg may be incredibly small, but she got baptized. The two other girlies in the picture are branch missionaries who went with us as we taught Tumentsetseg. They are both currently working on putting in their mission applications. We actually have 5 young women preparing to serve missions in our branch. To quote Khuduree, the Young Men’s president and fellow branch missionary in our branch: “Manai sisteruud yamar goe yum be?” (“How cool are our sisters?”). Kharin tii.

The weather continues to be incredibly windy. We stopped in at the church one day to use the bathroom and Skywalker security guard comes out and says, “Hey Sisters, what’s …whoa. What happened to your hair?” We ran to the bathroom and saw that we were both sporting rather elegant Tina Turner-style hair-do’s. Oh well. I guess it's ponytails until the wind calms down.

Bayarmaa and her two daughters didn’t pass their baptismal interview so we’re going to try again in a few weeks. They’re not the least bit discouraged and actually now they’re studying even harder together and it's just adorable.
