Mongolian Children

Here’s a parade of pictures of Mongolian children.

This first little guy is the younger brother of a recent convert in our branch, Batkhuu, who didn’t come to church last Sunday so we went to his house to check up on him. Batkhuu hadn’t gotten back from school yet, but we did get to chat with this little baatar. Unfortunately you can’t see the sweet braid of hair he’s got on the back of his head.

Next is Ankhzul (“first candle-flame”). Her mom is also a member, and they both need a little help in getting to church every week.

I don’t know this little girl’s name, but she’s the neighbor of our branch president. We were waiting outside his house to teach an investigator one day and I just had to take a picture.

Last, but not least, is the chubbliest cutest little Mongol ever. He’s the son of the first counselor in our branch presidency and the whole branch just spoils him to death. He spends all of sacrament meeting running between the aisles and up to his dad on the stand, and if anyone tries to stop him he’s got this super-sonic shriek that he does when he doesn’t get his way. Egshiglen is his name, which is all too appropriate because it means “sound” or “melody.”
The moral of the story is: Mongolian kids are freakin’ cute.
